  • 1.  Endpoint error when loading MS Shared Outlook 2003

    On one of our workstations when Outlook 2003 is opened the following error message pops up.
    "The add-in :c:\Program files| Symantec_Client_Security\Symantec Antivirus... could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved using Detect and Repair on the help menu"
    we run Symantec endpoint protection Ver 11x , windows xp, Outlook 2003 (shared) , On Dell Optiplex 760's.
    When we looked under help  for Detect and Repair, it wasnt there.
    Any assistance would be appreciated

     "Detect and Repair" is part of Dell's system utility. See the Dell Forums for more info.

    The add-in is left over from a prievious Symantec install.  All you need to do is disable it.
