Is it safe to install Endpoint RU5 client on Hyper-V Server version R2?
Since there is no GUI on Hyper-V Server, do you assign a 64-bit installation package from SEPM and have it install automatically?

If you are running in Server

If you are running in Server Core mode, there is no need to really install something IMO.  The OS is so locked down that not much could run on it to begin with...

There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) http://mysupport.symantec.com "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."

You can simply install the SEP client from the command line. This related forum post has more details: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/endpoint-protection-1104windows-server-2008-r2-core-compatability.
