is the first installation of the SEP in these machines?

what version of Windows Installer?

All installations of client software require that all client computers running Windows Installer (MSI) version 3.1. If the 3.1 is running in non-client computers, the installation of client software from Symantec to install automatically.

If you run msiexec in a command prompt on a computer
running MSI 3.1, the version will be displayed 3.01.4000

You think the problem is an old installation?

Why does cleanwipe is used only to uninstall the SEP, correct?

DeleteFolder: FAILED to delete directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC
DeleteFolderIfNoFileExists: SHDeleteFolder FAILED

means MSI could not delete "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC and thats why it rolled back"

as you can see "MSI (s) (E4:38) [16:55:58:576]: Error in rollback skipped. Return: 5"

Thats why cleanwipe

what does SEP_INST.log say this time?  Are you upgrading from a previous product or is this a fresh install?
