We recently deployed Symantec SBE2013 at a new client. We installed the on-premises manager on their Server 2012 machine. Everything seems to be working correctly except the management console; I can't access it via the shortcut or the web console unless I replace the server's IP address (10.X.X.X:8443) with the local loopback address (127.0.0.1:8443).  We've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, repairing, disabling the Windows firewall, and no dice. Is there another setting somewhere I need to disable to access the console normally?

This is odd, have you tried by FQDN?

Just tried by FQDN and no dice. It can ping its own IP address, and itself by name. If I use the name or IP address and go to port 80, it brings up the IIS page, which is why I'm thinking it's a port blocking issue.

(Though as a CCNA I'm ashamed I didn't think to troubleshoot that.)

Firewall or other intermediary device in the way?

There is a Sonicwall, yes, and it's directly connected, but I'm looking at it now and it hasn't logged any blocks from that IP. Plus the default rule is to allow anything from LAN to LAN.

What if you add a rule to specifically allow 8443 traffic to the SEPM (not that I'm betting it will work but just for testing purposes)
