Hi,

I am goign thru my endpoint deployment, and am at my final servers, they are running SQL 2008, Is tiher any special configuration I need to do on end point for SQL to make sure their are no issues?

Yes, it is possible to install the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager using SQL Server 2008 as the backend, but the procedure for the same is at present unsupported, since the present builds of the SEPM do not recognize SQL 2008 as a valid backend source, unless manually specified.

Installing SEP on a SQL server.

SEP cannot scan a database and can cause problems if you try. Please refer to the following document:

Additionally, there is no problem installing all components of the software on any server OS. Just bear in mind that the Network Threat Protection includes a firewall that will need to be configured for the roles that the server performs.
