Endpoint Protection 12 Cleanup

    Hello,
I installed the console/management software to a secondary partition, but the Content and Definitions all get pulled down and placed under the "All Users" account on the primary partition.
So in short I am running short on space.
Is there a way to move or clean up the content without breaking the install?

    Thanks.

the contents will always be under your OS partion, even if you install it on D drive, the content wil be on C no way to change it
the best was is to mininmizate the content usage
    open control pannel
    select liveudpate
select cache put it to a lower value
    udner admin servers
liveupdate keep the revision to 3 , by default it will be 10 which increases the hard drive

It only allows for space not a number.
    So I dropped it from 255 -> 100 MB

    See if that works.

This is by design, the Liveupdate folder cannot  moved to a diffrent location. Liveupdate cannot be installed on other drive it will be installed to <root drive>.

May be you can delete the content of C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads and re run Liveupdate.

Do you think at some point Symantec will allow you to alter the location of LiveUpdate files?
Would be nice to have that as a custom install option.

When you see the little Icon in the shield tray next to the clock.

Or if you have set it up to send you an email, it will shoot one out saying that X number of clients have been added.....

Also if you are using the console to monitor things, the newly added PC should show up in there under the "Computers" section.

The Folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads will be used for temporary downloads
What is the size of this folder?
