So I've finished upgrading the Endpoint Manager to Version 12.1.5

I have added the installation package for the 12.1 client to the client group in the Clients section.

Am I right in thinking that when the client checks in, it should pick up the new client and install it?

So far, none of my clients have picked it up, I've even done an update content command on them and have confirmed that they have picked up the latest virus definitions, but they still have version 11 of the client.

Is there something more than adding the installation package to the client group that you need to do to get the clients to update?

Depends on the time you configured. Is it at 0 or or 1 days?

If 0 it's immediate, if at 1 days it could take the full 24 hours.

What happens is client will check, it needs to accept the upgrade package, then download it, then install.

Also make sure to add both the 32 and 64 bit client if you have a mix of both.

In additon if you go to the Client page and open a client up, you can see the progress in the Deployment section. The three steps I mentioned above will be refenced there.

    Is the upgrade schedule required?

I assumed that if you dont tick the upgrade schedule, it would be immediate.

It's all about what "Distribute upgrades over x days" is set to. That's separate from the Upgrade Schedule piece.

It's at 1 by default so if that was left alone, it could take up to 1 full day to complete.

I've been looking at that all day and assumed that the 'Distribute over x days' was part of the Upgrade Schedule section.

I had it set to 7 days but ignored it because I didn't have the Upgrade Schedule ticked.

I've just set it to 0 and the clients have already started upgrading.

    Thanks guys, you're the best.
