Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

I installed Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2 on my Windows 8 machine and things are working fine except that I cannot update or install windows 8 apps through the store. I am guess I need to configure my firewall to allow the store to download and install ?

Please help!

 

 

Post the traffic log here for review. Make sure to note the time you tried to access it to narrow it down.

Hi Brian, I do not see anything in the traffic log

Do any of the logs show anything?

If you disable SEP, does it work than?

I tried a couple of things : Cleaned the cache of windows store enabled and disabled network threat protection stopped and started windows update as an admin. I don't know which one of this worked but I am able to install the apps now. Thanks for helping me with this.

When you say, "Endpoint protection 12.1.2 blocking apps installation in windows 8" do you receive any error message or a pop-up from Symantec Endpoint Protection stating it is blocked?

If yes, could you take a screenshot and post it to us?
