  • 1.  Endpoint protection antivirus does not update

    Hello,

     

    I have three server Windows 2003 at the office. On one of them is the management console (Endpoint protection 11). On one of the other server the antiivirus software does not update the network threat protection component.

     

    How can I fix that issue ? The other two servers are receiving updates just fine.

    the screenshot shows the AV & NTP definition been updated.

    On SEP 11 version the PTP will be off as it is not supported.

    Network component is updating fine, its PTP having problems

    go to add/remove programs

    select SEP

    select Modify

    remove PTP

    reboot

    again

    install PTP from add/remove programs

    update policy, should get u the new defs.

    PTP will be off on server OS, its almost like not having it 

     

    Proactive Threat Protection (PTP) definitions are current, but its status remains OFF on systems running Windows Server 200x, Windows 7 or a 64-bit version of Windows XP

    even after getting the defs; it wil be green and status will be OFF

    Hi,

    You can also try by repairing SEP client.

    As PTP is not supported on server OS, so if you removed it there won't be any warning message.
