Endpoint Protection client deployment with wrapper
Updated: 26 May 2010 | 2 comments
I've been trying to create a deployment package for our Endpoint Protection clients and i'm having a little trouble. For our machine builds and software deployments we use a software packaging tool that creates a wrapper around msi's and other installers to run switches\commands and collect useful logs. I'm using an MSI for SEP 11.x client installs however when the installation starts It produces a warning message to close any currently open software. The message generated is regarding the software wrapper around the installer package. I can manually click ignore and the install completes without issue. I have found no way to suppress this message or bypass it. Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks,
Tyler

Hi
No idea about your issue, however you need to tell thats what wrapper you are using and also the screen shot of the pop would help to find out the cause and a solution to do with it.
Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Rafeeq
Wrapper
This is a wrapper that runs the SEP competitive uninstall scripts, waits for it to finish & kicks off the SEP install. This works within the SEPM console
via the Find Unmanaged Computers or the Remote Deployment Wizard. Therefore the pop up issue is a bit strange however as rightly suggested please send us a screen shot of the same.
