Endpoint Protection Continuously Configuring

I recently installed the newest version of endpoint protection and am having some problems.  Everytime I turn on my computer the configuration for endpoint pops up.  After it fully configures it closes the configuration screen and then pops up a new one.  After about 30 times of doing this I can finally cancel it  to allow me to move on to do things with my computer.  Is there something I can do to get endpoint protection from doing this.

I have also tried to remove endpoint and reinstall with the same results.

RE: Endpoint Protection Continuously Configuring

Hello,

I agree to Ramji Iyyer... It appears to be an issue with Windows Installer. The Windows Installer might be registered with a program that didn't install correctly, was cancelled, failed, etc

Try the following steps:

1. Uninstall the SEP Client
2. Re-register the Windows installer-
i) Go to Start->Run-> Type msiexec /unreg then press the "Enter" key.
ii) Go to Start->Run-> Type msiexec /regserver then press the "Enter" key
3) Install the SEP Client.

Please update with the status.

Thanks...

If windows installer

If windows installer problem.
I have faced this. when ever i right click on anything then windows installer keeps appearing.

For this I do one thing.

I remove sep. and scan with nss.exe .
maximum chances are virus problem.

after cleaning with nss.exe  try toi install SEP .

It's a corrupt MSI

It's a corrupt MSI install\file missing. You don't know where the problem is. Recommended will be to use cleanwipe to uninstall and then reinstall.

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"

Would suggest to run the

Would suggest to run the install from CD1/SEPM/Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.msi file.

Looks like there si some missing files or a corrupt install of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

Once you run the install from the above mentioned location it will repair the corrupt files.

Thanks & Regards,
