After I read the datasheet of endpoint protection it has the Linux OS support and then I checked an information in symantec website.
In the website explain endpoint protection don't support the Netware OS.

    Question.
Can endpoint protection support Linux and Netware OS?

    Regards,
    wirawat.

If install sav on linux client. Will that occur on SEPM console and can I manage that?

There is SAV for Linux, Netware and MAC and of course Windows.
None of them can be managed or viewed from SEPM console. You will have to install them as Unmanaged.

    Hi Wirawat,

Here's teh official article about SEP and NetWare:

Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 Support for Novell Netware

That being said, I have SAV 10.1 MR9 happily running on my NetWare 6.5 SP7 server.  That can be managed with the SSC (Symantec System Center, SAV's central management tool).

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick

This thread answerd my question about SEP support for Linux.
Do you have an idea when Linux will be supported?

I just recieved an email that the "End of Life Clock" for SAV started January 4, and support for SAV in 2012.  This is plenty of time but I would like to get all my clients upgraded.

    Thanks,

I don't think Symantec will stop SAV for Mac and SAVFL ( for linux ) so soon..before having a product for it..
So even with SEP CD ( CD2 download ) you get the install for SAVFL.

    Thanks for the update

So even with SEP CD ( CD2 download ) you get the install for SAVFL  Will this allow SEPM to manage these servers?

Can I Manage my Linux machines in SEPM?

A future release of SEP may include managability for SAV for Linux, but this is not yet possible.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick

No you cannot manage SAVFL with SEPM or any non-windows OS from SEPM.
