This issue has been solved. See solution.

I just renewed a client's Endpoint Protection and have received the new support agreement.  Am I supposed to update something on the Endpoint Protection Manager or does the supscription update automatically?

Also, is there a place within the Endpoint Protection Manager that details the subscription renewal/expiration date?

No Endpoint doesn't need ant

No Endpoint doesn't need ant license file .so if you have renewed the agreement then you can use endpoint protection.

endpoint doesn't show any renewal date or like that

if using sep12 then you need license file

If it Version 11.x then you

If it Version 11.x then you dont have to do anything with SEPM/SEP its just the paper work and licensing portal formalities you have to complete.
SEP 11.x does not require any SLF file to be update like SAV or SEP 12.x

However if you are using SEP 12.x Small Business Edition then you need to update the License in SPC symantec protection center
