  • 1.  Endpoint Protection Small Business: continuous failure to deploy client software

    I have made several attempts to deploy managed client software from my Endpoint Protection Small Business server, despite having being successful with 4 other computers with different OS platforms on the same network. The client computer always indicates that the "installation was interrupted before finishing". There is no firewall on the client computer as it is a brand new machine running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS. Does anyone have a clue how to remedy this?

    Hello,

    Could you please Upload the SEP_Inst.log which could be located on START > RUN > %temp%

     

    Also, Check the permission on C:\Programdata  (program data is hidden folder)

    delete c:\program files(86)\symantec 
    c:\program files(86)\Symantec Endpoint Protection
    c:\ProgramData\Symantec

    MAKE SURE UAC IS OFF

    Reboot you machine then try installing SEP again from C:\Temp\clt-inst\setup.exe

    I was able to push the client installation through my network succesfully. It must have been hindered by the prior installation which had not been removed.
