    Posted Apr 17, 2011 11:02 AM

I successfully upgraded my management server from v11.0.6002.754 to v11.0.6003.803. However, when I go to create a new install package containing the v11.6003.803 update, I get an error message -

    Console Error

You have another "Symantec Endpoing Protection version 11.0.6002.754 for WIN32BIT" of the same language, package type, and platform type deployed in the group currently.

But, I've selected the v11.0.6003.803 package, not the v11.0.6002.754 package, which does already exist.

How can I resolve this so that I can make the new package available to my clients?

    Thanks.

    John

You might have assigned the package to the groups

    open

    sepm

    clients

click on packages, do u see anything assigned? if so remove those.

    then assign the new package.

    hi John,

you want to create just 11.0.6300 install package?

or you want to upgrade clients from SEPM server?

    Hi,

You can also create new package through Migration & deployment wizard.

If you are trying Auto-upgrade then you will have to delete old packages before adding 11.0.6 MP3 package.

You should not face any problem if you are exporting package through

log on to SEPM console -->Click  Admin --> Click  Install Package --> Right click desired package & click export.

I just want to create a 11.0.6300 install package, which (after it exists), I'll then assign to my client groups; i.e. first to a test group and if all goes well, the production group.

Before I can do that, I need to create the install package, and that is the where I'm having the problem. SEP is claiming that MP3 is the same as MP2.

Go to the clients tab, then click on client install package on the right hand side of the window.( Last tab)

    Then delete the existing packages.

And now you can replace them with the latest version.

    That should resolve the issue.
