  • 1.  Endpoint Protections Continually runs at 50% CPU; Memory leak

Greetings! I am currently running SEP 11..0.6100.645 and recently noticed that it is constantly using 50% of my CPU. IN addition, the longer it is allowed to run, it gobbles-up memory until it reachesa  limit and forces the machine into a blue screen. If a do a reboot, the machine comes back without issue, but the process starts all over again. My only recourse has been to shut it down, but I will need a more permanent solution. Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!

What are the applications you are using on this machine ?

When it does a BSOD what is the STOP error code ? and which file does it show causing the problem.

There were few BSOD issues fixed between your sep version an SEP RU7MP1 you can try installing that.

Hello, on which OS is this happening ? If it is only in Windows XP SP3, let's take a look at the Microsoft kb959658

Thumbs up to above! Many fixes and improvements since RU6 MP1 (11.0.6100, released August of 2010). Which process exactly is using so much CPU?

Have a look through the release notes to see if any of these apply to your situation:
