I have 3 seperate environments running EP server talking a large number of EP clients. I have had to re-stall the Protection Manager on one of the servers. Now now of the clients can talk to the server. Any suggestions.

Also, Is there a process to re-install the client on workstation without the client doing a rollback?

To reinstall the client. It would be better to uninstall it first. And then installing from a new package.

You don't have to re-install the client, see this document: http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/13669c4f8319b89e882574e5004e7328?OpenDocument for Restoring communication to clients with a new Sylink.xml file

I totally agree with Rick, you have to use the new Sylink.xml and use the Sylink drop tool.

If you will restore database, clients will connect automatically. But your new installation should be on previous server hardware, because client will search previous server with MAC Address & IP. If this solution not works then you have to use sylink replacer
