This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have been trying to use Endpoint AV on my Windows Server 2008 file server, but I keep having problems with it.  When the Endpoint client is installed on the server for some reason ever couple of days it locks users out of network folders.  I reboot the server and everything works ok for a couple of days.  Has anyone else seen this problem or have any ideas?  This is a production server so I can't afford for downtime.

Thanks

Check firewall policies also

I had this problem and checked the firewall by chance to see what was up, and come to find out they were using IPV6 which was disabled by default. Once I opened this up in the SEP firewall, everything worked fine. If the patches don't fix it, then check the log files.
