So, my new boss has tasked me with fixing a problem with Endpoint and IIS--two things I have never found reason to work wih before.  I like Apache...and I typically avoid Symantec.

Anyhow, he installs Endpoint and tech support change IIS.  Can't see Endpoint Manager.  And as an added bonus, now remote workplace doesn't work.

Searched for white papers on this issue but have come up with nada.  Anyone experienced this?  Suggestions?

First, what OS did you install SEPM on?

What version of IIS are you using?

You said, Remote Workplace, I am not familiar with it, but I assume it has ports that need opening and you probably installed the Firewall component on the server, when you installed the client (not recommended).  So you locked yourself out of the machine (remotely).

Can you get to a terminal on the Server itself (physical) where you can access the machine?

Next thing to know, what other services, if any, are you running on this box?  WSUS, Web Sites, etc.

If you can get to a terminal, and you can open up the SEPM manager, than we can look at diagnosing the problem.

    Thanks.

Make sure that SEPM is installed on a custom website and there is no other component running in the same website.

    Cheers,
    Aniket

He might have changed the IIS Default AppPool from Network Service to local System, and this could be (not definitive) a reason why Remote Web Workplace is not working.

BTW, is this an SBS or Terminal Server?

And could you please tell us on which website is the SEPM installed in IIS? Is it the default website, or a custom website for the SEPM?
