    Recently i got Syemantec Endpoint Home Use Program.  I installed it in my windows 10 computer.  I am getting a message after installation that the program will not work on Windows 10.  I am also unabe to uninstall it.

    The first version of SEP 12.1 that is supported in Windows 10 is 12.1.6 MP1. This version or a higher is what needs to be installed. Refer to this article:

    The program will not let allow me to update nor to uninstall.  As soon as I try to open it Ill get a pop up asking to allow the program to make changes.  After I say yes Ill get another message stating that the program cannot run on this version of windows.  It will not take to the interface so I can use live update.

    You'll need to get cleanwipe to remove the corrupted version. If you contact support and provide a valid support ID, they will send you the download link.

    Hello,

    What do you mean "Syemantec Endpoint Home Use Program" ? 

    Have you got a CD from the market?

    When you say, "As soon as I try to open it Ill get a pop up asking to allow the program to make changes." - does this issue occur after the CD has been insterted and you try to run the setup?

    If yes, In your case, it seems the SEP has not been installed and it would not get installed as your machine is running the latest OS.

    Secondly, you are trying to run a older software which unfortunately, does not support this OS.

     

    In your case, you could contact Customer / Technical Support, which may assist you to download the latest version of Symantec Enpoint Protection 12.1.6 MP2 which supports your machine OS.

    Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) adds support for Windows 10 with 12.1.6 MP1 .For Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, a maintenance patch has been released on July 29, 2015.     If possible post the screen-shot of error message. However if conventional uninstall fails need Cleanwipe tool to wipe out SEP completely from the system.

    Company admin can provide it or need serial number details to download it from Symantec site.
