    Hello,

Is there anyway to associate a domain user as the system account during installation? We have a domain account that owns the directories for installation /opt/SymantecDLP and /var/log/SymantecDLP so I would like to use this account during the install. Is this possible?

System Account panel, create the Symantec Data Loss Prevention

system account user name and password and confirm the password. Then

    click

    Next.

This account is used to manage Symantec Data Loss Prevention services. The

    default user name is

    protect.

    Note:

The password you enter for the System Account must conform to the

password policy of the server. For example, the server may require all

    passwords to include special characters.

    Thank you

    Tim,

Unfrotunatley by default the installer will ALWAYS create a local account as part of the installation. Once the installation is completed you can then change the permissions of the directories as well as what user runs the services.

Just make sure that the permissions for the user is correct for the directories. If you do not have them correct the services may not come up.

    Hope this makes sense.

If this solves your questions please marked as solved.
