ENGL Driver Manager 6 BETA 2 is now available to download.

Based on your feedback, BETA 2 now supports GSS installations with both Windows and SQL authentication. We have also added a new tool to the Driver Manager console to manage software packages (non-INF drivers).

Note:

1. You must uninstall BETA 1 before installing BETA 2.

2. When launching Driver Manager for the first time select "evaluation license"

3. If you previously requested an evaluation license for BETA 1, please email support@engl.co.uk to obtain an evaluation extension.

We have recently migrated to a new support system and as part of this we have created a Driver Manager 6 BETA forum. Please post your questions and feedback to the BETA forum. See the above link for forum details.

At this point it more important than ever to receive your feedback so we can resolve any issues before final release.

Nice to see. Might sign up to beta if it's still in progress after we've started the new Academic year as right now isn't a good time! I was a big fan of HIIS by Altrinsic Solutions though so it's nice to see something similar for GSS in development.

Are there any license limitations in the beta that would stop us testing it in our production environment rather than a separate test environment?
