  • 1.  Enhance the scan: common infection locations & well-known risk locations

If one creates a scan with ALL_FOLDERS and "Scan all files" enabled, do the options under "Enhance the scan by checking:" have any benefit?  It seems to me that a full scan of all files and folders would overlap with "common infection locations" and "well-known risk locations", perhaps increasing scan times due to redundant scans?

This is what would happen when Enhance the scan by checking is checked

It will "check or uncheck Memory, Common
infection locations, or Well-known virus and security risk locations " .

    Check page 289

Thank you for the reply, but I believe you missed the context of my question.  I am not asking what the "Enhance the scan..." options do, I am asking if those options are redundant if one is already scanning ALL files and ALL folders.

Yes, if the memory is also scan there might be redundant. However if one scan has missed due to AV engine off or AP off , the other scan have a chance to detect the malware and take action.
