  • 1.  Enpoint Protection 12.0 SBE - Router Port 80 blocking live update

    Good day,

    I 'm deploying above system for 35 users and 1 server(Protection Center).

    No prolbem with installing and adding the clients but live update fail. This may be due to the reason that we have blocked port 80 of our firewall router to prevent users from surfing internet.

    Does Protection Center automatically push the updates to the clients or the clients need access to Internet (symantec live update server) to update?

    Any solution is much appreciated.

    --Clients not required Internet access.Only Protection Center needs Internet (For downloading updates form Symantec servers).

    The clients wont but Server will require pot 80 to download definition and it will distribute to the clients

     

    Also make sure SEP 12 clients are communicating with Server console
