Does anyone here can clarify or comment if VMware HA can be used for creating High Availability between the Production and DR site ?

after reading this article: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/enterprise-vault-8-high-availability-best-practice it gets confusing.

So basically with the VMware HA, is that the underlying storage is replicated to the DR SAN while whe VM in the DR VCenter is turned off and always synched (everything is the same as in production but just one instance of the EV VM is online at one time).
