Enterprise Vault 8.0 Backup Issue

For some reason the backup exec hanged on backing up storage item. It being staying there for several hours. This is first backup I am doing after an upgrade from 7.5 SP2 to 8.0 SP5. The 80% backup the completed as I can tell by looking for backup logs. Any Help?

Could you please let me know the version of Backup Exec you are using ?
Does this backup only take backups of EV?
Yes, we would want to know the version of BE? After the Upgrade of EV from 7.5 SP2 to 8.0 SP5, have you confirmed if the Registry Entries with relation to keeping EV Services on Read-Only Mode have been removed. Instead, with EV 8.0.5 we put EV in Backup Mode.
Also, are you using the EV Agent in BE or not?
Yes, I am using EV agent and it puts the system in backup mode automatically. The BE version is 2010 R3. I have removed the old registry entries becuase they no longer needed.
Could you check if all the Backup Exec Services are running properly?
Are you using tape for the backup ? Could you check if the media in the drive have not changed, following technote may be helpful in this case:
