Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP2, cannot get it working in OWA 2007
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 4 comments
Hello,
We are running one EV 8.0 SP2 server.
On the Exchange (2007 SP1) side we have 2 x CCR clustered mailbox store / 1 CAS Server.
From outside we connect through ISA 2006 to the webmail.
I have installed the OWA extensions on the CAS server as by procedure.
All looks well, I have followed some procedure found on the symantec support to check the files / webconfig file and all.
Everything looks nice.
But when I connect to the OWA (on localhost or through the ISA), I don't see anything from EV in there.
I believe there should be an additional button below the "public folders" one for EV, but nothing is arriving there.
Anyone here who can maybe help me out, as I've tried about everything to get it working....
Many thanks in advance,
Regards,

Hi, Since it's not working
Hi,
Since it's not working when you are connecting through local host or through your cas server, it almost sounds like its a cache issue. I am assuming that you have installed the ev extensions on the cas box. I know it doesn't require a reboot, but have you rebooted your boxes since configuring? Sometimes that will correct the issue.

Hi, is the Exchange running on a Windows Server 2008 Operating System?
There are a few things to configure when running on 2008 Server
Cheers

Chammy: Yes, the server has
Chammy:
Yes, the server has been rebooted few times already since installation.
The strange thing is that if I check the OWA folders on the exchange server, all enterprise vault items are there, and also in the webconfig.
HolgerM:
No, it's running on a Windows 2003.
There was another post with very useful information
This info is very good in order to try to solve your problem:

If after enabling OWA logging (modifying the Web.config) and opening an OWA session, you do not see any log, then the EV OWA extensions are not properly setup.
If after enabling the logging and opening an OWA session, you have logs, then check if we can load the hidden message or not.
Please let us know.
