Are your retention policies set to stop deletion of emails in that retention category?
Also how is storage expiry set? By archived date or modified date?Is it set to run in report mode?
Also what storage do you use?)
Oh and how long are the retentions set to?
If they are set to two years based on Archived Date, it will only expire things from February 6th 2011 and prior...so if you didn't start archiving till June 2011, you won't see any deletions for 4 more months
Also how is storage expiry set? By archived date or modified date?Is it set to run in report mode?
-> By archived date
-> I just ran in report to see whats going to happen.
Also what storage do you use?
->ISCSI storage connection
Policy: Retention period: 8 Months
Based on : Archive Date ( print attach)
Befere , the retention was forever, but now i chaged the period to 8 months.
Are you absolutely sure the items are being archived under that retention policy?

Are you absolutely sure the items are being archived under that retention policy?
Yes
ok so in the vault admin console, expand out archives, and then find your journal archive and go to properties, on the "Advanced" tab, is "Delete Expired Items from this archive automatically" checked?
If not , check and hit OK and try again

Correctly configured and applied retention categories and storage expiry is exactly what you require to acheive your goals here.
JesusWept3's suggestions to troubleshoot why expiry is not occurring are all totally valid, but I would recommend you open a Support case on this as well, as this should be an issue with either configuration or the data itself that can be easily resolved with some hands on investigation and assistance from Support
Feel free to post the case number back to this thread and I will ensure it gets the required attention from Support
