This issue has been solved. See solution.
I have noticed that Emails sent to distribution groups are not recorded in anyone's vault store. We are running Enterprise Vault 10.0.1
Is there a setting that I can change so this would occur?
Thanks

hi aaron, no this is not expected behaviour. are you talking about journaling or mailbox archiving?

If journaling, take a look in the journal mailbox at the Failed to expand DL folder. The VSA might not have permissions to expand it.

So what is the best practice to assign the AD role for the EV service Account ?

Please be nice to me as I'm newbie in this forum.
is it possible to describe a little more about what is happening?
If I send an email to Joe, and DLtest... when the mail is archived in Joe's mailbox, what happens? Is it just never archived? Is it archived but doesn't contain the DLTest recipient?
Are there errors in the EV server event log about expansion of distribution lists?
Many Thanks,
Rob

Make sure expand distribution list is set to ON in the policy
Refer http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO31471
If running exchange 2010 additional configuration would be needed

Is any further assistance required with this issue?
