  • 1.  EraserUtilRebootDrv - What is this?

Does anyone have information what the EraserUtilRebootDrv services does?

We have a compatiblity issue of AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.1 with CA's XOsoft replication software. So far, we discovered that EraserUtilRebootDrv is installed in a managed client environment only and we have the issue in this environment only (no problem in an unmanaged environment without EraserUtilRebootDrv).

    Can this service be uninstalled?

    Thanks
    Urs

I'm not sure if the service can be uninstalled but you can try stopping it. It's a part of the Sym software so i would not recommend uninstalling or disabling.

It is a component of the Eraser Engine which aids in the removal of viruses.
    This service cannot be uninstalled.

I would suggest calling into support to address the issue.
