  • 1.  Error: 11501 while installing symantec endpoint protection manager console 11.0.5002.333 with SQL database.

    I am trying to install SEPM console on Windows server 2003 R2. I have MSSQL 2005 database installed on a remote server machine. I got the SQL client installed on the local computer. When I run management server configuration wizard getting error: 11501. Unable to connect to database. I checked the database connectivity. Test connection successful.

    Can anyone help me on this.

    The TCP/IP protocol is disabled in Microsoft SQL Server itself
    In this case, enable the TCP/IP protocol in Microsoft SQL Server. To enable TCP/IP, follow the instructions for your version of Microsoft SQL Server:

    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008:
    In SQL Server Configuration Manager, go to SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocols for MSSQLSERVER, and enable TCP/IP protocol.

    Are you able co login to SQL server by using he SQL client in this machine?
