Error 13 | 2 drives almost full

Created: 19 Nov 2013 | 3 comments

hi everyone,

i've been having problems with the backups of one of the servers.  it has been encountering error13.  Drives E: and F: are almost full.  the backup encounters the error when it tries to read Drive E:.  before we knew about the drives, we used to reboot the server and backup would complete.

does being full have anything to do with the error or the files in the drive really corrupted?  please note that there are applications residing in these drives and they're working fine with no issues.

would really appreciate your advise on this.  thanks in advance.

Hi,

Plz verify the write/read time out in the media server.

And try to run backup by increasing to 1800.

even after this modification if u see the failures, plz enable bpbkar log with verbose 5 only for E Drive by creating test policy, run the test backup and attach the log to this forum..

hi sri vani,

thanks for your suggestion.  however, other clients are using the same media server but not encountering such problems.

i'll try with the logs first and see what i might end up with.

Please share the exact error in Job Details leading to status 13?

This error can be anything from a timeout (as suggested above) to network (socket) error to actual file read error on the client.

Troubleshooting starts with details in the job...
