Hi Ajeet, This is caused due

Hi Ajeet,

This is caused due to sep installation on the client machine for multiple times.

The best solution for this issue:

Stop all the services releated to symantec.
Delete the files and folder of symantec including the folder from the 7.5 location.
Run the Clean wipe tool and restart the system, again allow it to run.

But even after restarting you will find it in Add Remove programs.
Run the Clean wipe tool again after restarting the system.  This will complete remove the SEP from the client system.

I had faced the same issue and got resolved.

Please update the status once done.

Hello Ajeet, You may download

Hello Ajeet,

You may download the Windows installer cleanup utility from the following link.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Install and run the tool. You will see Symantec Endpoint Protection in the list. Select it and click remove.
Then delete the following folders
C:\Program Files\Symantec
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec shared
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application Data\Symantec

Reboot the machine and then install the SEP client again.

Hope this helps :-)
