Ghost Solution Suite

I am using Ghost32 version 11 from a WindowsPE network boot disk.  I'm attempting to create an image of a Dell PE 2600.  The drive in question is a mirror set on a Perc 4/Di controller.

 

I had been able to image this server up until last week using version 8.2.  When I started to get "Internal Error 3600" I upgraded to Solution Suite 2 (ghost32 version 11).  Now I get error number 19330 when Ghost attempts to enumerate the drive.

 

I have identical machines that the process works fine on, but this particular machine fails each time.  I've replicated the BIOS, and firmware settings from the working 2600's with no luck.  I also did a base install of Windows 2003 Server SP1 (using the Dell OM 4.5 Server Admin).  There is no unallocated space on the drive.  I tried using the UPDSYSID to no avail.

 

Any help would be appreciated.  I have the same issue on four other hardware platforms (Also Dell PE servers with hardware RAID).  I'm trying to work through this one to find a solution, hopefully for them all.

New information: Ghost works on this 2600 when I take the two mirror-set drives out of an identical machine, and replace the ones in it.  So the problem lies on the hard drives themselves?

 

I have four other Dell Power Edge servers with hardware RAID in my image lab (2650, 2800, 2850, and 6650).  They are all exhibiting the same problem as the 2600.

I saw the other thread so I ran Ghost32 using the -ntiid switch, but got the same result.  I will try to run gdisk32 as you recommended, and post the results here later today.

 

I am able to use ghost32 (the DOS version of ghost has the same problem by the way) with an older version of the Dell Server Administrator setup utility.  I know it has something to do with the Dell EISA partition, but it appears to be version specific.
