Error 229 Status Events out of sequence - image inconsistency

Hi All,

 

We are facing one issue related to restore.

Restoration is failing with 229 status.

 

It is a normal file(on SAN mount point) restoration not the NDMP .

 

Master Server :- Solaris 10

NBU Version :- 6.5.4

Kindly note , we are restoring the data on one of the SAN mount point on master server only.

We already did the restoration volume to volume on same mount point.

But this time restoration failing for selected files/ Folder.

Kindly provide your views.

What does the bpdbm log show ?

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpdbm

Also, please run :

bpdbm -consistency 2 and capture the output in a file .

Any chance of shutting down NBU for a minute - rename the existing log - bring NBU back up, run the restore and then capture the log - just so that we have something a little more managable in size?

Its a production setup; so would not be able to perform the same now.

Will keep you posted once i do a recycle..

I had faced a issue where in the restoration did not start no matter what.

Had logged a call with TSE for the same; after 3 hours of gruelling work with the logs... We planned for a reimport ...

And Guess what the restoration started...

Why dont you expire the image and try a reimport.

Give it a try before performing the recycle of services.
