Hi Daniel-yu,

It looks like deployment error or windows Installer error . Specially MSI errors , Can install a self managed Client and then you can make it as a managed client .

If you are installing self-managed client and still the same , let me know  ? ..

Hi Optimus.prime

install as Self-managed client still get the same error,

Yes, especially MSI installer error,

i found a solution can fix this issue

Use the Windows Cleanup Utility can resolve this issue

1. download and install Windwos Cleanup Utility

2. Run Windows Cleanup utility

3. find the Symantec Endpoint Protection and select remove

4. re-install SEP Client

then sep client install success.

thanks

daniel

Does Symantec have similar manual uninstall tools (as mentioned earlier) for Backup Exec System Recovery 8.5?

Thanks
