Error 5 while installing.

We have had a rash of Error 5's on our Deployment Servers. I found out that it is the computer ID bat that is located in the express/temp that is causing the issue. If I delete this bat file that corresponds to the computer ID of the machine I am working on and retry the task all is well. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Or should I be deleting the temp files?
