Error 8027 when restoring Image in GSS 2.0

  • 1.  Error 8027 when restoring Image in GSS 2.0

    Posted Jul 25, 2008 03:49 AM

    Hi

I have tried to search the forums for anyone encountering the same problem I have but not found any solution. Hopefully some kind soul can help me since I'm quite puzzled. I need to restore an image one of my customers have created onto around 100 factory new HP 6510B notebooks.

I start Ghostcast server on my Win 2003-server and choose the image as normal and then boot the clients to Ghost from a USB-stick emulating a floppy. The USB has been formatted using Ghost Boot wizard. The network drivers are included so the clients can access the server over my network.

But when the restore is just started I get the message "Error 8027 - an internal inconsistency has been detected". I haven't been able to locate what the problem is caused by since my experience in GSS is rather limited.

The Ghosterr-file contains the following info:

The logfile stats that there might be an IRQ-conflict between the NIC and a mass storage device but there is no way of changing IRQ in the BIOS of the notebooks. Anyone with an idea about what's causing this? I have been googling and staring att this for a day now so I might be blind to something obvious.
