Hi there,

I am trying to copy a file from my DS to WinXP SP3 clients, but I was prompted with the following error in the console:"No connection could be made because the target computer actively refused it ".

I tried to turn off the firewall on both DS and XP client but no luck based on the article from KB (https://kb.altiris.com/display...asp?aid=40194&n=32&s=). So, I'd tried to run a copy jobs from UNC instead of using File Copy from DS, it works this time!

Any ideas? coz I can't run a machine configuration job to client.

Verify that the services on the Server and on the workstation are running:
Server:
- Altiris eXpress Server
Workstation
- Altiris Client Service

Check the logs onthe server and the workstation for any messages:
Server:
- AeXEngine.log
Workstation
- AClient.log

Hi dominique,

Yeah....all of the mentioned services are running and I restarted them without any problem.

I have also attached the log files from DS and aclient when the file copying task was running.
