Dbconvert Problem

The error most common indicates that dbconvert lost connectivity with the ESM manager during the conversion process.  Normally insuring the system running dbconvert can connect to the manager and restarting dbconvert will resolve the issue.  If not check <install location>/system/<managername>/esmmanager.txt (windows) - esmcifd.log - Unix to see if any errors are present.

Hi

First, thanks or your answer.

But, for esmcifd.log, I saw nothing in file, no trace of my connection
in manager.txt I can find my successful connection.

I try to restart dbconvert many time but always the same problem, when it try to convert suppression!

I think the problem is on suppression

Try this

Are you able to view the suppressions properly from the console?
Any errors while viewing them from console?

You had deleted an entire suppression file. (As a workaround for your last problem). Are you able to view the same file from console without any issues (the suppression for that module for that particular OS)?

The error which you have sent says 'failed to close suppress database on server'. Can you restart the manager and then try running the DBConvert?

Run Ciffix

Ok.

Did you delete that entire file? Or you deleted the contents of the file?

The suppression record seem to be corrupted.

You need to run ciffix utility to fix this corrupted record.

Hi Rupali,

I tryed to run ciffix, but I already have the same problem when I try to access the supprss directly from console.

You suggest I must delete directly the suppressfile.dat but I can't find my policy "L3 (critique) W2000-2003", I have many folder like L3cr****!

Thanks
B.
