I am trying to install PGP Universal Server 3. I burned the ISO image to a DVD and a bootable usb.

The installation gets far as loading the storage drivers then the error message appears. The following KB from Symantec highlights it’s a known issue with PGP Universal server 3x and by pressing enter you can continue with the installation, unfortunately this is not the case as its constantly asking for the file parameter. I can confirm all the files on the ISO are on the DVD.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

I have also tried the interactive method and only receive

local CDROM, Hard Drive, NFS image, FTP and HTTP options, when selecting CDROM it can't find the files.

What do you mean by "burned the ISO image to a DVD and a bootable usb." ?

Have you burn ISO image correctly?

Maybe ISO file was corrupted. Download and burn again. Latest versions is 3.2 MP4

What options are you using when starting installation? Is this a normal a cd reader?

I downloaded the pgp universal server ISO from symantec’s website then created a bootable DVD using this, when this failed with this error I decided to create a bootable USB, both attemps generate the same error.

As a test I created a VM in VMware Workstation and booted from the ISO and this worked successfully. We use Hyper-V in our live environment and PGP does not support this technology. Therefore we have to use a physical server.

It is a dvd-r I am using, I have tried this in 3 different types of machines, could this be because the hardware may not be supported? We use HP servers, I have tried installing this on ML350 G5.

I have tried all the options available, when selecting f2.

Found the issue......after changing the boot order to CD-ROM it seem to find the file. Strange, even though its boots from the CD it relies on the boot order.
