I need assistance in getting our images deployed. I am running DS 6.9 and using WinPE 2.1 for automation. I can see the Pre-Boot environment map F: to our share and can navigate through the command prompt. After dropping an image job on a device, a command prompt opens with the path to our RDeployT.exe but then receive this status in the console:

Rdeploy: error opening the ds configuration file.

Has anyone had a similar issue? This occurs when the "automatically perform configuration task after completing this imagine task"

When this option is not selected, the imaging jobs hang on "Sending Wake-On Lan Signal".

RE: Error during imaging: RDEPLOY: error opening the ds configur

From the altiris forums.

This happens when there isn't a "temp" folder in the root of the express share. However, the temp folder is created at install time, could it be it got deleted?

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the response. There is a temp folder in the Express Share however, I have figured out the reason why I am getting the errors.

When trying to use automation, RDeploy was looking for a configuration file, when not trying to use automation, the Server was stuck on "sending wake-on lan signal". The server recognized the clients as being active, and the client recognized the server. The real issue was not having WinPe installed properly. I reinstalled it through the bootworks creator so that when viewing the available of automation O/S's, it was listed with all of the details in all of the columns. I then recreated our bootworks automation partition and was able to image right away.
