Client Management Suite

Damn this CMS7. Headaches galore :-)

I installed this on a PC int he house running win2003 R2 and done all the updates. Went fine.
I now install it in a HP server in work and getting issues.

See screenshot of error. I cant seem to get this installed.  

Any ideas ?

I tried removed 3.5 framework and reinstalled. No good.

Install solution by solution, rather than checking all the boxes.  Not sure why DS and CMS failed, but try installing just SMP, then continue on with one solution at a time.

You may want to remove Symantec Installation Manager from Add/Remove; this will give you a relatively clean start.

OK - got a fresh box up and installed SMP. this went on OK and the web page comes up fine. I try to install Deployment solution and it wont let me - comes up with an error saying 
"there are no selected or installed products that require this feature or it is already installed" so cant install deployment solution??

Any ideas

Are you using an alias for the server name, or have you put in the real server name?  Aliases can wreak havoc.

Nope - bog standard HP proliant  windows 2003 install. Server in default workgroup. 

Update. OK the deployment solution installed. Good news indeed. So would one of the components be casuing the problem when I tried to do a  full CMS install. Thanks for that tip also.
