  • 1.  Error During Installation (Migration 7.0 MR4)

    Yesterday I updated cms with the latest updates true the SIM.

    10 updates totally. I did the update in 6 steps. But every time an error was given.

    Everything seems to work fine...

    Can someone tell me what this product is? Do I need it? And can I install it manually?

    The Migration package is used if you are migrating from Altiris 6.0 to 7.0.  If you're running a clean install of 7.0, then you don't need it.

    Also 7.1 has been out for a while now and is overall a much better platform than 7.0.  I would highly suggest upgrading/migrating to 7.1 (as it requires Server 2008 R2/x64, you'll need to move to another server).  There is an abundance of KB articles, etc. with information on the migration process and planning, etc.

    I migrated to 7.0 a long time ago. It's not the first time I updated some patches in version 7. Never had this error before. So can you tell me where it's coming from? Can I disable this?

    (You are right, need to make some time free and build a new server with version 7.1

    is it already possible to exclude mac addresses in Deployment Solution 7.1 pxe configuration)
