Hi Guys,

Just want to inquire regarding the error I usually encountered during live update.

Here is the story.

I am using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 10.2 which automatically pull the update from Symantec

website based on the time specified in the Liveupdate configuration. Before the update works fine but after a few months I noticed that the server can no longer pull the updates.

My initial solution to this problem just to make sure that I have the latest updates is to manually trigger the liveupdate program.

Here is the details of the error.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program: c:\program files\liveupdate administration\luadmin.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in usual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I tried several solution based on the recommendations from Symantec website like updating the version

of LiveUpdate but to no avail.

By  the way, my OS is Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition.

Your recommendations/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can check the Windows Event viewer to get better information on the error. You could also try installing the latest Microsoft CRT runtime libraries and try launching luadmin.exe.

Another way is to launch the liveupdate from the Run command. Type luall there to get the Liveupdate window.
