Hi People,
Does anyone know if it is safe to delete the files in C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\log\traffic directory ? it is now sitting at 9 GB of over 28.000 files
why SEPM doing that ?
See here:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH154417
If older timestamps than go ahead and delete. I've dealt with this before as well and removing had no impact.
What SEPM version?
are these files have .err extension?
if yes, those can be deleted.
See this thread and mithun comments

whatever is under inbox folder are from clients, these are then stored in DB
You might have set log all traffic, thats the reason the size is bigger.
Yes, its safe to delete those.
Check these

Yes it is older time stamp.
SEPM 12.1.3
What can cause this error to be logged ?
yes, it has .ERR extension. So can I delete them all ?
Try this
Hi

Regards

See this SebastianZ comments

Yes, you can safely delete
Report this to support team.
if SEPM is unable to process the dat file to the database , these .tmp files gets changed to .err files after sometime.
it could be becuase the issue of connectivity with DB .
since these are of older timestamp, you can safely delete these files as these are of no use anymore.
