    Getting error while downloading defination in ILU

    5/10/11 3:46:11 AM GMT+05:30  Download  critical  tiger  Download request 1242 started by tiger has failed. 


      5/10/11 3:27:28 AM GMT+05:30  Download  critical  tiger  Download job from source server Symantec LiveUpdate has failed. There were 6 updates that failed to download.

    check if download and distribute is not overlapping?

    what is the event ID in the event viewer for download failures?

    Now If I have done mannulay and no event ID is genrated in event viewrs also there no event is genrated related to this.

    Which version of LUA sre you using?  Is it the very latest, LUA 2.3?  If not I strongly receommend that you contact Technical Support and upgrade: this latest version has many performance improvements that prevent most of the causes of download failure.

     

    Most of those failures to download are due to network connectivity issues- how wide and reliable is the link from that server to the Internet?  If the same job is run again later, does it succeed?

    I agree with Mick. These issue may be occuring due to due to connectivity issues or lost packets enroute.

    LUA 2.3 has been available to Symantec customers on a case-by-case bases.

     

    Please contact Symantec Technical Support for details on how to obtain LUA 2.3.

    Thanks for the info- definitely do migrate to LUA 2.3.

    If the same job is run again later, does it succeed?  In my experience it usually does.
