    I am getting this message when trying to install SEP 11.0.6 on Windows Standard Server 2003 R2. "An error occured while trying to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager " "

      Need more info.. Exactly after which step you are getting this error message?.. also attach screenshot if you could manage..

    Thanks for getting back so soon. I get the message as soon as I click Install Symactec Endpoint Protection Manager. Here are screenshots, if they do not come out I have a Word attachment.

    seems like u r installing the product without un-zipping it

    Unzip the CD1

    open SEPM folder

    run the setup.exe or .msi file, u should be fine

    or 

    right click on setup.exe

    properties

    if there is an UNblock button, click it and Unblock it

    run the setup.exe,

    I don't know what happened the first time but I guess I was missing alot of zipped files from the first time I unzipped them. I deleted the files and unzipped them again and now I can see missing files. I ran it again and it worked! Thanks so much for your help Rafeeq!
