This issue has been solved. See solution.

Does anyone know how to get pass the following error when installing Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.1 on RHEL 6.4?

First stop error: missing dkms package <--- fixed by downloading and installing requsite rpm from Dell web site.

Second stop error: Can't find rhel-6-server-cf-tools-1-source-rpms package and repository. Where do you download this package. Can't seem to find it online.

Am I even using the right tool for encrypting data at rest residing in a folder?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi symuser2013,

Please ensure you have the latest RHEL updates in this machine.
For instance, one of the reasons: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?format=mu...

Thank you for your reply. I managed to get it installed by copying over the repo files from a default installation of RHEL. I placed the repo files in: /etc/yum.repos.d/

What happened was we had customized repo files in the above location that prevented the installation from completing. It's all good now.

Thanks.
