  • 1.  Error loading OS message only on HP tablets and mini

We upgraded to GSS 2.5 from ghost 7.5.  I created a Ghost Boot CD that woks great on all of our desktops and most of our laptops....except for our HP tablets and HP mini's.  When I try to boot them off of the CD all I get is a "Error Loading OS" message.  I can boot the same machines from a P boot disk or a Bart PE boot disk....but not the Ghost.  Any Ideas?  I did create a windows PE boot disk and it does work, however I would like to use just 1 disk for all of our machines.....plus the PE disk takes about 5 minutes to boot and the ghost disk only takes about 20 seconds......

Sounds like you may be missing some drivers for the tablets in your boot.

I'm sure linux will work.  But i would like a ghost solution.  It would just be easier in the long run.  I don't think it is missing drivers.....it never starts to load-just displays a "error loading OS" message.

Yes, i'm talking about ghost solution too but running from linux enviroment (of course, from a boot CD created in windows)
    Start>Programs>Symantec Ghost>Ghost Boot Wizard >Linux>Standard Boot Disk
    just try :-)
    Hope it helps..
